Do I need to have painting experience?

You don’t need to have any painting experience as Paint & Plonk is about having a fun night out and trying something new. And, at the end of the evening you get to take home something you created.


What is the timing of the Paint and Plonk experience?

The Paint and Plonk experiences is held on a Friday night 7- 10pm.  Each session in approximately 3 hours duration. Our doors open at 6.40pm to give you time to prepare your nibbles, grab a drink and get settled. Our fun and friendly artist will guide you step by step throughout the evening with us to that much anticipated masterpiece. Our doors will close at precisely 10pm so please, so know how you will be safely travelling home at the end of your time with us.


Will materials be provided?

Yes, we will provide you with 40cm x 50cm canvas and all materials required to create your masterpiece. We also provide you with a DiversARTy apron to protect your clothing as it can get messy!


What can I paint?

Each public session has a featured painting on particular dates, check out our public sessions page to decide which painting you’d like to create and what date suits you best.

Each private group session can nominate any one artwork from the public sessions list and each person in your group will create this painting, with their own flair of course!

Our artist will guide you through the painting but we encourage you to change it up as you wish, try other colours and add your own personal touches – we love that!


Will there be any breaks during a session?

You will have plenty of breaks and time to enjoy a tipple, a chat, some nibbles, stretch your legs, check out how other masterpieces are tracking or for the over enthusiastic, grab a dryer to help the drying process along a little.


Will I be able to take my Artwork home at the end of my session?

Absolutely, your artwork should be touch dry by the end of the session, but will still need 24hrs to fully dry. Sometimes though, participants can get a little enthusiastic with their paints, in this case, we can use a drier to help it along or we’re happy for you to collect it the following day.


How much do sessions cost?

Public sessions are $65.00 per person up to 16 people with a minimum of 8 people.

Private sessions are $65.00 per person for a group of 8-10. $60.00 per person for a group of 11-16.


How do I book?

Go to the tab at the top of the page and select your preferred session type.

For Public session choose your art/date, how many seats you need and add to cart.

For Private session choose your group/party type, click the book now button, choose you art/date, how many people in your group and add to cart. (total is calculated at checkout).


Can I bring my own drinks?

Absolutely! It’s BYO only at Paint & Plonk. Please bring along your favourite wine, beer or soft drink to enjoy whilst you paint.  We can provide glassware, ice and tabletop ice buckets for you. There is also a fridge to keep things on the chill as well.


Can I bring nibbles?

Yes, please feel free to bring your own nibbles. We can provide platters, bowls etc, just ask our staff when you arrive for you session.

Alternatively, you can also let us take care of the nibbles platter for your group. No rushing around beforehand, it’ll be there ready for you to enjoy. This is only available when booking for private sessions.

 

What will the supplied platter contain?

Your platter will contain:

  • 1 caramelised French onion dip
  • 1 hummus dip
  • Assorted crackers / breadsticks
  • Assorted cheeses
  • Fruit paste (delicious with cheese)
  • Assorted olives
  • Plates and napkins

What is the cost if a nibbles platter is supplied?

$100 inc GST


How do I order the nibbles package?

Once you’ve selected your artwork and preferred date, there is an option at bottom of page to select the package, once selected just add it to your cart.


Can I take photos or a video during a session?

Yes, feel free, staff can also help out with a group photo. On occasion staff may take photos/videos of a session for social media and general promotions/advertising. Please discuss with staff any concerns or if you wish not to be included in photos/videos taken during your session.
